چکیده

Salt stress reduces the yield and quality of rice. It is great significance to screen out salt-tolerant varieties for development utilization saline land. The study was carried on 114 rice varieties; first, seven were selected treated with different salt concentrations (0, 50, 85, 120, 155, 190, 225 mM), traits, including germination energy, capacity, shoot length, root number, plant fresh weight, seedling vigor index, measured. concentration at which sodium chloride injury index 50% control considered optimal concentration. Second, germplasms under an (120 mM). Then, principal component analysis, fuzzy function stepwise regression correlation systematic cluster analysis each parameter. There a significant between parameter D-value, coefficient D-value highest. = − 0.272 + 1.335 × STI SVI 0.549 RN 0.617 STI-RL 0.073 GE, R2 0.986. Using this equation, tolerance in experiment could be quickly identified. This showed that reliable identify salinity varieties. Five groups obtained by classification Euclidean distance 5. 8 highly cultivars, 23 42 cultivars moderate tolerance, 33 salt-sensitive cultivars. In study, we found Riguang most variety, Xiangxuejing15 variety.

Mapping QTLs for cold tolerance at germination and the early seedling stage in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Cold tolerance is an important breeding target in rice production. We studied quantitative trait loci (QTLs) controlling cold tolerance at germination (CTG) and early seedling (CTS) stages, using recombinant inbred lines derived from a japonica × indica cross. CTG was evaluated based on the percentage rate of germination at 15 °C for 12 days after pre-incubation of imbibed seeds at 20 °C for 2 ...

Genetic Diversity in Sadajira Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Germplasm

Genetic diversity of 40 traditional Bangladeshi rice genotypes was studied under rainfed condition through Mahalanobis D statistic for grain yield and yield contributing characters. The genotypes were grouped into six clusters. The inter-cluster distances were higher than intra-cluster distances indicating wider genetic diversity among the genotypes of different clusters. The intra-cluster dist...

In vitro screening for salt tolerance in Rice ( Oryza sativa )

An experiment was conducted to study the performance of rice genotypes for salt tolerance under in vitro condition. Seven genotypes include salt tolerant (Pokkali, CSR 10, TRY 1 and TRY2), moderately tolerant to salt (White Ponni and BPT 5204) and susceptible (IR 29) were used for this study through embryo culture technique. Callus was initiated in MS medium + 2 mgl 2,4D + 0.5 mgl Kin and diffe...

OsMSR2, a novel rice calmodulin-like gene, confers enhanced salt tolerance in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

OsMSR2 is a novel calmodulin-like gene in rice. Previous study has been demonstrated that OsMSR2 was a cold, drought and heat-inducible gene. However, the role of OsMSR2 in rice stress response is still unclear. To reveal the function of OsMSR2 involved in stress response, the expression pattern and effects of overexpression of OsMSR2 on salt stress were analyzed in rice. Quantitative real-time...

Response of Iranian Rice Recombinant Inbred Lines (Oryza sativa L.) to Salt Stress in Seedling Stage

Study of the morphological genetic diversity of 114 lines, which have been derived from the crosses between Tarom Mahalli and Khazar cultivars, has been performed at seedling stage as completely randomized design at the normal condition and salinity stress of 8 dS.m-1 in a hydroponic system. Significant differences were detected between genotypes for all traits. Mean of comparison demonstrated ...
